Congratulations to Sara Osorio for recieving a "superior" rating at the 2014 South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair of Florida and Third Place in Environmental Science at the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida.
RAHSS Sara Osorio presented the results of her research with Dr. Evelyn Gaiser in a collaborative project with our partners at the Deering Estate that will be used as a baseline for monitoring within the Cutler Slough Rehydration Project. Sara presented her work in a poster entitled "Changes in Diatom Assemblages along a Salinity Gradient in a Restored Mangrove Forest") at the 2014 South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair of Florida (SFRSEF), where she received the highest rating of “superior,” the Genius Olympiad prize, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, and was selected as a finalist for the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida. In addition, Sara received Third Place in Environmental Science at the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida.
