Description:
Valve is lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, sometimes weakly bent ("cymbelloid-shaped"), with weakly pointed to blunt ends; raphe is lateral; axial area is linear-lanceolate, widening to an elliptical central area; clearly punctate striae are radial, less dense and further apart in the valve center, becoming suddenly convergent at the ends; length is 35-75µm, breadth is 9-18µm; striae count is 18-20 in 10µm (20-30 punctae in 10µm)
