Description:
Valve is linearly shaped, with slightly convexing undulation of the margins, becoming more linear-elliptic; apices are prolonged, becoming slightly capitate; axial area is narrow and linear, widening into a round to rhombic central area that reaches the valve margins; raphe is filiform, with simple, slightly deflected proximal ends; striae are radiate or convergent in the middle, becoming more radiate or more convergent at the ends; length is 14-34µm, breadth 3.6-6µm (length-to-breadth ratio is 3:1-5.4:1); striae count is 13-16 in 10µ
