Description:
Valve is lanceolate to narrow-lanceolate with protracted, rostrate to capitate ends; axial area is narrow, leading to a small, ovoid central area; raphe is straight and filiform; finely punctate striae are radiate; length is 14-35µm, breadth is 4-6µm; striae count is 30-35 in 10µm
