Description:
Valve is narrow- to rhombic lanceolate with sharply rounded ends; raphe is narrow, filiform; axial area is narrow and linear, leading to a small but distinct central area; lineolate striae are radial, short at the centre, becoming parallel to convergent at the ends; length is 15-40µm, breadth is 5-7µm; striae count is (12)14-16(18?) in 10µm (35-45 lineolae in 10µm)
