Description:
Valves elliptical to elliptical-lanceolate, with rostrate to capitate ends, 30-80µm long and 12-25µm broad. Axial area linear, bordered by a single row of puncta, distal raphe ends curved in the same direction, central area irregurally rounded, unilaterally developed, mostly reaching the margin. Lateral elongated clear areas uniting with central area giving lyriform configulation. Striae slightly radiate throughout the valve becoming parallel at the ends, 15-18 in 10µm
