Description:
Valves linear with obliquely rounded apices, 70-150µm long, 15-25µm broad. Dorsal margin flattened and most of the tome indented in the middle part, ventral margin more or less straight. Raphe biarcuate, located close to the middle of the valve. Raphe branches sloping from the poles upwards and than curving suddenly, and continue slanting downwards towards the central nodule. Proximal ends oriented ventrally, distal ends hardly visible under LM. Axial area very narrow; central area funnel-like on the dorsal side and semi-lanceolate the ventral side. Transapical striae on the dorsal and ventral side delicately punctate, almost straight in the middle part of the valve, becoming slightly radiate towards the ends, 24-30 in 10µm.
