Description:
Valves lunate with arcuate dorsal margin and slightly bent ventral margin, 38µm long and 5.9µm broad. Sub-acute ends bent towards the ventral side, raphe located close to the ventral margin, axial area narrow, transapical striae on the dorsal side crossed by longitudinal hyaline line, 26 in 10µm, ventral striae dash-like ca 23 in 10µm.
Notes:
Found in surface sediments from Florida Bay, in greatest densities near Russell, Butternut and Duck Keys. Water level at those sites is < 1.5 m, salinity varies between 30 – 35ppt.
