Description:
Valves linear–lanceolate, with truncate ends. Dorsal margin convex, ventral margin straight. Raphe branches straight, terminal fissures bent dorsally, central fissures deflected dorsally. Conopeum warped up far from the valve face and with abruptly trimmed ends. Axial area very narrow, linear; central area very small. Transapical striae on both sides biseriate. Dorsal striae parallel at the center, becoming radiate towards the ends. Ventral striae very short, not resolvable under LM.
Notes:
Commonly found in dwarf coastal mangroves located along the Biscayne Bay coast from sites with salinity between 15 - 20ppt and water depth < 0.3m.
